Nivea Whitening Cell repair and UV protect Body lotion Review

 It’s a blazing summer here in kolkata and we are just being stir-fried along with greasy limp hair oodles of oozing oil from faces and of course,pigmentation and darkening of skin

I have an oily face and normal body skin so sunscreen smeared on my arms and legs without any nourishment is not really the ideal solution . I was using Vaseline healthy white last year but that got over and was really nothing remarkable so when I saw this new offering from Nivea I just pounced and got it :P

So here goes my review after using it religiously for 1.5 months daily

 My experience with Nivea Whitening Cell repair and UV protect Body lotion :

The packaging is extremely sturdy and travel friendly with a flip top cap and to me looks very soothing as well with its white opaque body and pinkish-mauvish pictures of the berries .
The texture of the lotion is extremely light,runny and non-greasy which makes it absorbed into my skin very fast without leaving a greasy after-film :D
I love its faint berry-like smell which lingers afterwards for quite some time with me throughout the day 
However its tall claims of detanning my skin is not entirely justified in my case  there wasn’t really much noticeable tan removal from my arms or neck but maybe it did prevent me from getting even darker. In spite of being so light it performs its job of nourishing quite ok though that may not work for ladies with extremely dry skin!

Pros of Nivea Whitening Cell repair and UV protect Body lotion :

1. It works for my normal body skin just great as a summer body lotion being so light and non-greasy.
2. Awesome summery berry fragrance which lingers
3. Quite economical.the 250ml bottle lasts for quite some time despite regular use
4. Has UVA/UVB filters and thus provide protection against harmful effects of skin darkening
5. Widely available 
6. Love the classy and useful sturdy packaging

Cons of Nivea Whitening Cell repair and UV protect Body lotion :

1. Doesn’t live upto its whitening claim 
2. The fragrance might just get a wee overpowering for ladies with sensitive noses if directly sniffed
3. Dry-skinned ladies might not feel adequately nourished
4. Presence of parabens 
5. No SPF mentioned which makes it a little difficult to leave sun protection entirely to it inspite of them claiming so.and using sunscreen on top of it somehow degrades its purpose and makes skin greasy again 

Do I recommend it?
Well yes if you want a light summery great scented body lotion which does some job in protecting against the sun 

Shall I repurchase?
Right now I don’t have other options for evening out my body skin tone or lightening it with a non-greasy lotion similar to this so I guess I will continue buying it untill I find a better alternative! (ladies please suggest)
